A charming Victorian floor-standing school abacus. It has a turned column on a 3 foooted cast iron base with ten rows of coloured wooden balls. Used in a Victorian classroom as an aid for learning Mathematics, the abacus has a slot on one side where the children could place their slates. Brass maker's plate - J.
